Erection Going Away, Not Communicating

His erection has been shrinking over the past few years at an increasing rate, and he's getting less and less sensation from it. Masturbation does nothing. What's wrong? Is it permanent? And most importantly, can he fix it? Read on, get the facts and find out!

Case #: 1712

Concern:

Hello, I am 25 years old and my penis has been shrinking in both length and width since I was 17 at a very slow rate. It has been years so I have been able to see the change in size and also the rate at which it shrinks has been increasing. I have gone to see the doctor but there are no improvements at all. I really hope that you could help because not only has it been shrinking, but any feeling that was down there, I can't feel anymore. I can't even masturbate anymore because the feeling is gone. Please help me get feelings back in my penis and to stop it shrinking. I want my 17 year old penis size back.

Discussion:

A man defines himself by his penis, especially the size and strength of his erection. Some guys may base their self-identity on behavior or material possessions, but very few guys ever expect their erection to ever desert them. Considering the many ways that a guy can all but guarantee to enervate his erection without even realizing it, you may have hit yourself with several of them. Let's take a look at how your erection works to see what may be going wrong.

When We Talked

Your erection gets sparked by a signal from your parasympathetic neural network; your body produces nitric oxide to quickly dilate your penile blood arteries, and a stepped-up supply of adrenalin speeds up your heart rate, to force blood into your corpus spongiosum and the two chambers in your corpus cavernosum. Muscles clamp the veins shut, trapping the blood in your penis. Your body produces various other hormones, like prostaglandin e-2 to keep your blood vessels dilated during your erection, and extra neurotransmitters to keep the communication between your penis and brain flowing smoothly.

Where Did We Go Wrong?

Every time you ejaculate, you spring a small number of tiny leaks in the blood vessels inside your penis. Your body is capable of repairing them, as good as new, within a day or so, but ONLY if you do not ejaculate during that time. Masturbating to orgasm more than once per day pokes those holes faster than your body can fix them, so your blood vessels become scarred on the inside. Scar tissue is not as flexible as normal tissue and can't dilate anywhere near as easily, so you can't get as much blood into your penis as you could previously.

This scarring can also affect your nerves. You can short them out (using up supplies of neurotransmitters) if you stimulate them too much, too fast, and when the blood vessels supplying them are also operating below normal capacity, they can become damaged.

You may also have a decreased testosterone supply, since you've been burning through it to fuel your ejaculations faster than your body can supply it, leaving you with not enough to help repair your other body tissues. One other possibility stems from unhealthy diet. You may have heard of 'hardening of the arteries', but please recall that arterial clogging can impair your erection as well as your heart.

Counseling To Bring Back The Spark

You need to start treating your penis better. You can't masturbate, but you should stop even trying to do so for about three weeks and possibly longer, to let your body finish all the repair jobs it has lined up. You should also check your diet. Are you getting enough zinc and b-vitamins? Tissue regeneration requires many nutrients but especially these; try to eat properly-prepared oysters on a regular basis to get a good supply of both, or look to red meat and toasted wheat germ for zinc and whole-grains and dairy and leafy green vegetables for most of your B-vitamin needs. Do your nutrition research and you may even find some new favorite foods that happen to help keep your erection strong.

Boost your testosterone levels through a moderate exercise program. Aside from restoring your tissues and strengthening your erections, the increase in general stamina and confidence can only help your chances in getting a partner for sex.

You should also consider taking an all-natural herbal remedy designed to assist in restoring a numb, damaged penis. (Try: Penile Shrinkage & Numbness Revival Formula). The supplement provides a wide array of benefits, ranging from restoring the functions of various glands (and thereby increasing your supply of hormones) all the way up to assisting your liver's ability to get rid of the waste-products that ejaculation leaves in your system.

Keep talking to your health-care provider to get an expert's opinion on your progress, as well as suggestions on any adjustments to help the process run as smoothly as possible. Your penis didn't shrink this badly overnight, so repairing it will also take time; follow the instructions, be patient and let your body do what it does, and you will see the desired results sooner than you might think. Good luck!
